why cant i just be like other people? im tired of being me... it feels like they dont want me anymore and im being left out of place again. Im tired of being what i become. hope i can rest soon. i badly need to.
i am once bright
innocent like light
but they tricked me
i become fool, and envy.
they become my enemy
until my hatred grow
it scape from reality
now i am traped and tied
In the prison i made inside
even i sream for help
no one can hear me outside
i am scared and still no one cared
now i know why no one ever help
maybe because i am evil,
Ugly and stupid to be saved
so i stop and think
i dont need their help
they made me like this
then they should be the one
to adjust in the word
where i too exist.

ÅavÄsana: The Art of Letting Go
The final posture, often seen as simple, is anything but.
In ÅavÄsana, we practice dying - not in fear, but in freedom. We lay everything down: thoughts, habits, roles, even the idea of self.
Just as trees shed their leaves to survive the winter, we too are invited to release what no longer supports our growth.
ÅavÄsana is a sacred pause. A ritual of rest. A quiet conversation with the mystery. We return from it renewed, emptied, and ready to begin again
The Power of Stillness: Why We Honour a Full 10-Minute ÅavÄsana
āDonāt skip the stillness - itās where the magic happens.ā
At Yoga Nature, we always allow space for at least ten minutes of ÅavÄsana at the end of each class. Thatās not an afterthought - itās the heart of the practice.
In a world that glorifies productivity and speed, ÅavÄsana (pronounced shah-VAH-suh-nah), or corpse pose, may seem like a luxury - a quiet lie-down before you move on with your day. But this final resting posture is where the nervous system integrates everything. It is the moment of ripening, of deep absorption, of return.
Let us explain why we never rush this sacred pause - and why we encourage you not to either.
šæStillness is a Practice
ÅavÄsana isnāt simply lying down. Itās deep conscious rest. Itās a space where we allow the body to settle, the breath to soften, and the mind to be gently aware without doing. Itās a threshold state - not sleep, not activity, but a place of profound restoration.
The bodyās systems re-align.
The energy youāve stirred during your asana practice finds its balance.
And the wisdom of the practice - whether physical, emotional or energetic - is quietly absorbed.
š Why a Minimum of Ten Minutes?
Scientific research and yogic tradition both support the need for at least 8ā10 minutes of stillness to allow:
The parasympathetic nervous system (rest + digest) to fully engage.
Muscle memory and neuromuscular patterns to recalibrate.
A state of alpha brainwaves, linked to creative insight, integration and peace.
Emotional processing, particularly when longer holds or heart-openers have been involved.
Anything less, and we short-circuit the benefits of the practice. Imagine planting a seed and then pulling it out before it roots. ÅavÄsana is where the rooting happens.
šŗ What You Might Notice With a Regular 10-Minute ÅavÄsana
Better sleep and mood
More resilience to stress
A deeper connection to self
Feeling calmer, clearer, more grounded in your day
Subtle shifts in awareness or perspective.
In seasonal yoga, this restful state aligns with Winter energy - the Yin, the lunar, the turning inward. But it is needed year-round to balance our outward-facing lives.
šļø The Deeper Symbolism of ÅavÄsana
ÅavÄsana literally translates as ācorpse pose.ā In lying still, we symbolically practice letting go - not just of tension, but of identity, roles and attachments. In this quiet shape, we are gently acquainting ourselves with the reality that we, too, will one day die. Itās not morbid - itās liberating. Because each time we rest here, we also practice dying to what no longer serves us: habits, thoughts, expectations, relationships, clutter, striving.
In ÅavÄsana, we let go of life itself - and in doing so, we return to it more fully.
š The Practice of Receiving
So when you lie down at the end of class, know this: Youāre not doing nothing. Youāre doing everything. You are saying: Yes to rest. Yes to healing. Yes to being rather than doing.
At Yoga Nature, we honour that. And we hold space for your ÅavÄsana as sacred.
"Practice, and all is coming⦠but rest, and all is received."
Come lie down with us...

The Yogic Anatomy of the Koshas:Ā The Anandamaya Kosha and Deep Rest
The time we spend in the Anandamaya Kosha is a time of deep rest for all aspects of our being.Ā
The Anandamaya Kosha, the subtlest of the koshas, bodies, sheaths, or dimensions is commonly translated as the āBliss Bodyā .Ā Commonly is an important adverb here ā as ānandaā is joy in form and āaā is often creates an opposite.Ā So, bliss, yes, but bliss beyond form. So one thing Iāve noticed is that peopleās DnD characters may vary but there is usually an underlying thread that they all have in common. This thread is typically related to what that person struggles with the most.
For instance, my betrotheds DnD characters: a bitchy warlock we had to bust out of two different pacts, a sassy barbarian, a reformed drow cultist, and a sunshine fighter cleric.
All these characters were wildly different but at their very core struggle was them grappling with their self worth. My betrothed struggles with their worth a great deal and even with different facets showing their characters all have that too.
Mine all tend to contend with different themes of loneliness and acceptance. Surprise, surprise, the little autistic gremlin yearns to have been met with more love and lasting friendships.
So weāre at breakfast. I am meeting a new friend of my betrotheds for the first time. Itās been twenty minutes since Iāve met this man. I say my theory. He laughs. He starts to describe a few of his characters but specifies that he often has healing aspects. He gives a very broad overview of their character arcs.
I ponder for a moment then said, āWould you like to have my assessment?ā
He laughed, āSure!ā
āWeāve just met. Itās gonna get real.ā
āBring it on.ā
āI think your struggle is that you feel you must offer something of value or service to people to be worthy of their love.ā
His jaw dropped. His fork froze midway to his mouth. A potato fell. He stared into space as this sank in. Quietly he said, āOh.ā
#dnd#ramblies#dungeons and dragons#ffs foibles#he kept repeating it through the rest of the hang out and I got less coherent as I tuckered out but the gist was there#he also mentioned in his dating history how heād always felt girls heād dated were moving too fast#and without thinking I laughed and said yeah cause youāre gay and you desperately didnāt want those relationships to go anywhere#you just wanted to be loved but not romantically#and he looked shooketh#and I apologized cause I usually try to limit my deep psychoanalysis of people to one per hangout but he wasnāt upset

Stanley Pines is dying.
A good samaritan on the street found his unconscious body and decided to call an ambulance for him. Stan doesnāt remember everything that happened. He just knows that a few days and a multitude of tests later, he was unceremoniously diagnosed with a terminal illness in a random hospital in the middle of Oklahoma. Emphasis on terminal. The doctors tell him that without treatment, he has maybe two weeks to live.
Stan canāt afford treatment, nor the hospital bill heās sure to be slapped with from his current stay. He sneaks out during the night shift and disappears. Itās one more debt added to the list but itās not like itās going to matter once heās dead anyway. He finds the last place he left his car and spends the rest of the night awake in the backseat, wondering what he should do.
In the end, the conclusion is obvious: he wants to see his family. To say his final goodbyes to them in person. However, this brings a new dilemma. Stanās family are all in different places. His parents in New Jersey, Shermie in California, and Stanford in Oregon. Stan, currently in Oklahoma, is stuck in the middle and with a decision to make.
He canāt visit them all. As much as heād like to, Stan has neither the money, the gas, or the time to do so. Heād probably die before he could see all of them. He only has enough energy and resources to make it to one of them; heāll have to be content with phone calls to the others to say his goodbyes.
When the morning comes, Stan gets into the driverās seat and starts the engine of the car. He sits there for a moment, just breathing deeply. He has to pick a family member to see in person before he dies, and he doesnāt have a lot time, so he has to choose quickly.
It was never really a question.
He chooses Ford.
AKA a terminally ill Stanley makes his way up to Gravity Falls, Oregon to reunite with his brother. He wants to say his goodbyes and apologies in person before he dies. Heās not happy about dying, but he doesnāt think he has much to live for anyway, so he accepts it. He just wants to make things right between himself and Ford before it happens so he can go without regrets.
Stanford is not expecting his estranged twin to randomly show up looking like heās literally on deathās door. Nor is he approving of Stanleyās plan to seemingly just lay down and die. Good thing Stan came to him. Now heās given Ford a chance to do something about it.
All current research and projects get shoved aside as Ford focuses everything he has on a new, single task: take care of Stanley and save his life.
(Amazing addition by tinfoil-jones here)
#Stan unknowingly makes the best choice of his life to visit Ford#because Ford with all his weird spells and research and anomalies can find a way to cure him#and of course they make up and learn to be brothers again#after some yelling and arguing and crying#eventually they hug it out#nothing like a time limit of death to make you get over your issues with your brother am I right#fordās years long grudge goes right out the window as soon as Stan collapses on him#although he is a bit annoyed bc Stan keeps trying to have these long deep talks with him#and reminisce over old times#interrupting Fordās very important work of trying to find a cure to save Stanās life#poor Ford is Stressedā¢ļø#trying to be caretaker for his brother and doctor and scientist at the same time#and Stan wonāt listen to anything he says about resting and eating and taking it easy#keeps following Ford around trying to bond in his final days#while Ford tries his best to make those days UNfinal#gravity falls#stanford pines#ford pines#stanley pines#stan pines#gravity falls au#tw terminal illness

The art of the sleeping sapphic
#this is my all time favorite trope#the intimacy of it all#not even about the clothes or lack thereof#it's just getting to see these couples finally rest and find comfort in each other#and ultimately that sleep is the most solitary of acts but the romance and trust of doing it together#also because I was watching affair and thinking about how sleep is such an important part of their trauma and ultimately healing#maybe I do another deep dive into that#but anyways it brought me back to juliantina#because I wanted to frame that first image#and that image from Gap was one that I loved#also this is absolutely the pipeline that I think a lot of us went down#amar a muerte#juliantina#barbarena#gap the series#monsam#freenbecky#affair the series#wanpleng#lmsy#thai gl#gl series
